Commonly Asked Broadway Questions

So I know this is a review blog, however, I get asked many questions about Broadway shows and what are good shows to see. So down below are some frequently asked questions about Broadway.

How Much Is It To Go See A Broadway Show?
This question is asked many times. It all depends on what show you are seeing and what type of seats you want to have. If it's a very popular show (such as Hamilton or Dear Evan Hansen or To Kill A Mockingbird), then probably, you are going to pay more to see it. If it's not a major hit show, then you are likely to pay less to see it. Another thing is the seating. If you want to sit in the orchestra then you might pay a bit more just to sit up close. If you fine with sitting in the mezzanine, then you have a possibility to be able to pay less then the people who are in the orchestra. If you are looking for an exact answer most likely shows tend to be about $49-$1000.

How Can I Get Broadway Tickets?
Usually, you can always go to the website of the show of your choice. You will see a menu button where it shows you what you can do on the website. If you hit that button there is an option that says "Tickets", if you click that then it will direct you to Ticketmaster (or any other website they direct you too). Then it will ask you questions such as where you want to sit and what day you want to see that show. Another way to get tickets is by going to the show's box office or the TKTS booth if you are already in the city. There you can basically do everything like you can do on the website but this time, in person.

What Are Some Good "Family Friendly" Shows?
Usually, it depends on what is currently on Broadway at the moment. If you read the end of my reviews, I will state whether or not the show you are interested in seeing is kid-friendly. Typically, Disney Broadway shows are always a good choice for a younger audience.  However, if you are interested in other shows that are not Disney and you are curious if it's kid-friendly, you can always go to the show's website and go to the page that says FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions).

What Are Some Ways To Get Cheap Broadway Tickets?
As of by now, you might realize that Broadway is pretty expensive depending on the prices. So What are good ways to get good deals? One way is by playing the Broadway Lottery. This is a way to see a show paying a small fee of $10-$50 (prices may vary depending on what show you are seeing). Another way is by buying your tickets in person at the TKTS booth in Times Square. Most shows' tickets are on sale there. The third way is by finding a discount on Playbill.com. Depending on what show you are interested in seeing, the discounts are from 15% up to 50%. Lastly, if you are very desperate about seeing the show, you can get up early and wait on the cancellation line. This is a line where people who cannot go see the show and give the tickets back for other people who want the tickets. However, this way is not certain you will to see the show and the price will vary.

What Is The Broadway Lottery?
The Broadway Lottery is an app that can get you good seats for up to $10-$50 a person. However, just like the lottery, only a certain amount of people If you lose the lottery, you won't have to worry because the lottery is free to enter. Only the people who win will have to pay to depend on if they want to see it. There is also, sometimes on an in-person lottery, however, some shows do not have this option so your best bet is doing it online.

What Are Popular Shows That Are Good To See?
Depending on what is out right now, there are many good choices to see. You can always look at my blog to see what sparks your interests (personally, I enjoy most of them). If you are looking for a show that is very popular, go to Broadway.com. On the home page, there is a section that shows you which Broadway shows are the top-grossing/best shows.

What Shows Aren't Worth Seeing?
Personally, I can not answer this question since everyone has a different taste in what they like. Mostly on my blog, I would write which age group might not enjoy the show, however that may not be true to everyone. I recommend reading the 'Plot' section in my reviews, this will help you get a better understanding of what shows you might be interested in and which one you are not.

That's all the questions I got. Do you have any more questions? Write them down in the comments and I'm sure I'll help answer them.
